Set in a historic venue that once hosted legendary musical acts, the space has been given a fresh lease of life after being closed for nearly two years. Base Camp brings not only fantastic food but also a sense of history and atmosphere to its unique location.
The brains behind this exciting new venture is聽Ram Sapkota, who grew up in the Himalayan region and began his career at the age of 15, running a small Nepalese caf茅. After 15 years in the UK hospitality scene鈥攚orking as General Manager at Cardiff鈥檚 beloved聽Mint & Mustard Ram is now opening his first solo venture in Cardiff. He鈥檚 joined by two award-winning chefs: Soban Pokhriyal, known for his work at聽Dishoom听补苍诲听Hilton, and聽Rahul Chauhan, who鈥檚 honed his skills at聽Mint & Mustard, The Ivy restaurants and top prestigious Hotels -Taj and many more. Together, this powerhouse team has created a menu that鈥檚 as diverse as it is exciting.
